New Zealand Prime Minister Accuses Opposition Party of Supporting Rapists: Members of Parliament Were Then Shut Down by the Speaker for Revealing They Were Rape Survivors

After John Key accused opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) of "supporting rape" because they were concerned about human rights abuses in Australia's Christmas Island prison, several female MPs objected to this accusation by telling their own stories of surviving sexual violence. This was deemed "out of order" by the Speaker who required that they leave the chamber.
